About this guide
Independent, sourced, and with nothing to sell.
What you are reading
Fall Foliage by State is an independent editorial project published by Atelier Jerz. It gathers in one place what state forestry divisions, park services and tourism offices say about the timing of autumn color. We are not affiliated with any of them.
Nothing to sell
We do not offer tours, lodging or tickets, and we do not link to anyone who pays us. There are no ratings and no sponsored listings.
How we check facts
- Published by the agency. A date appears here only if a state or federal agency has published it in text we can link to.
- Original wording kept. The peak times table quotes each window as the agency phrases it; our rule for converting phrases into calendar dates is explained on the same page.
- Typical is not a forecast. We label long-term windows and single-year expectations differently, and we say which is which.
- Dated. This edition reflects the agencies’ pages as of October 2026.
